Regulatory and Permitting Database
The RAPID Toolkit’s regulatory and permitting database provides a collection of regulatory roadmaps that detail the major requirements—in topics such as siting, land access, exploration, grid connection, water access and rights, and environmental considerations—for developing renewable energy and bulk transmission projects in the U.S.
You may narrow your view of regulatory and permitting roadmap pages by using the keyword search or using the filter options.
Your search selections do not match any RAPID Roadmap sections.

Using the RAPID Toolkit keyword search
The keyword search may be used to quickly locate a specific regulatory or permitting page, or series of pages.
It is important to note, this feature can only locate exact matches to what is typed into the keyword search input field.
The keyword search in this tool is not case sensitive.
Use the term overview to narrow the results to only the overview pages (those that contain the exact matching search term).

Do not try to use complex search operators. Also note, some combined search terms may not work.
- Searching for geothermal overview will not generate any results.
- Searching for geothermal AND overview will not generate any results.
- Searching for geothermal OR overview will not generate any results.

Even though there is a series of geothermal overview pages, they do not contain an exact match to the string that was typed into the input in these examples.
The keyword search is a simple string match, meaning it only identifies exact matches typed into the input. It is not compatible with search operators like some search engines.
Try using the keyword search in combination with the filter facets. Searching for overview in combination with the Geothermal technology checkbox enabled will result in a series of geothermal overview pages!

If a keyword search does not return any results, try another term or combination. Or, use the filter facets to select a series of combinations to see if it narrows results.
Power users may want to consider searching by using flowchart numbers or parameters.
