1-NM-a.1 – Land Use Planning Delegated to Municipalities and Counties

Land use planning in New Mexico is delegated to municipalities and counties. N.M. Stat. Ann. §§ 3-19-1–3-19-12; N.M. Stat. Ann. §§ 4-57-1–4-57-3. Municipal and county land use planning commissions develop master plans to guide the physical development within their jurisdiction.
