Urban Grid’s Crystal Hill Solar site in Virginia integrates clean energy production with regenerative agriculture by hosting a solar apiary of ten hives producing over 400 pounds of honey annually, alongside sheep grazing for vegetation management and lamb production. This agrivoltaic project also serves as a living laboratory to study pollinator activity in partnership with Siller Pollinator Company, and has plans to start a 3-acre rotational crop pilot within the array closest to the hives.
