Zhejiang University Ocean Energy Experimental Power Station
The Zhejiang University Ocean Energy Experimental Power Station is a tidal turbine test site operated by the Zhejiang University (ZJU). It consists of four floating platforms off of Zhaizhuoshan Island in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. Tidal velocities at the site can be up to 2.8 m/s. The floating platforms have gantry systems which allow for turbines to be lifted/lowered into the water for instillation.
