STEM for Marine Energy

This information-sharing portal is designed to help spur innovation and growth in the marine energy technologies industry and support workforce development.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math for Marine Energy

Marine energy technologies play an important role in the growing renewable energy industry, but there are not enough workers to fill open jobs in the industry. To continue to spur innovation and growth in these exciting technology areas, the industry needs to inspire the next generation of marine energy workers. The U.S. Department of Energy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory are developing the STEM for Hydropower and STEM for Marine Energy portals to help interested students learn and to provide resources for academia and industry to educate the future workforce.
