Pennamaquan Project
Halcyon Tidal Power has chosen the Pennamaquan Estuary in the Bay of Fundy in Washington County at the town of Pembroke for installation of its first ‘Halcyon Solution’ tidal range facility. The 1,500 foot enclosure will consist of up to 17 Alstom Power bulb turbine gensets placed horizontally within the powerhouse caissons at the center. Power output is expected to be at least 25.6 MW with each turbine having a maximum output of 1.6 MW.
