Cape Sharp Tidal Project

The project delivered one of the world’s first tidal arrays, with the deployment and grid connection of two 16-metre turbines in the Bay of Fundy, each capable of generating 2MW of electricity. Aecon carried out two contracts – one for the fabrication and assembly of the two turbines – and another for the construction of the barge that was used to take the turbines out to sea.
