ZJU H-axis tidal turbine

ZJU has been developing the technology for a series of horizontal-axis turbines since 2005. As the design of the semi-direct drive ZJU H-axis turbine was been improved, so to has its capacity been increased from early tests of 30 kW and 60 kW prototypes, to 120 kW and now a maximum rated capacity of 650 kW. The cut-in current velocity of the 650 kW H-axis turbine is 0.7 m/s and its rated capacity is achieved at a current velocity of 2.5 m/s.
