Ocean-2

Ocean-2 was deployed for a three week test from Everett Ship Repair during February 2024. The trial tested the device's energy generation capabilities, satellite communication, and other systems required for full operation. The device footprint is long, and it can be deployed horizontally to allow for easier towing. The device is turned vertical to generate electricity by bobbing up and down on the waves. Ocean-1, the predecessor of this device, was developed and tested to produce green hydrogen onboard. The developer stated that the device was designed to ensure no marine life was disrupted or caught in the system.
