Mighty Whale

Mighty whale has the length, width, height, and draft of 50 m, 30 m, 12 m, and 8 m, respectively. The displacement is about 4,400 tons. Mighty whale is a wave energy converter of an oscillating water column type with air turbines. It has three air chambers with a dimension of 10 m x 8 m x 12 m. These chambers include two turbines with the rated power of 30 kW and turbines with the rated power of 10 kW and 50 kW, which are changed depending on the wave condition.
