Healy WEC

The Healy wave energy converter (HWEC) is under development using a scale-up approach incorporating numerical modeling, wave tank testing, and open-ocean testing of a full-scale prototype designed for maximum reliability. It is based on a two-body structure and consists of a flotation buoy (A) rigidly connected to a long vertical inertial tube (B) which is open at the top and the bottom.
