CanWatt
The CanWatt generator is an axial turbine for riverine applications developed by Dragon Engineering. The device measures 45 cm by 45 cm, weighs 12 kg, and can generate 100 W at 120 VDC of power in 2 m/s flow while operating in speeds as low as 0.5 m/s. The CanWatt utilizes a shroud to speed up flow near the turbine blades and is advertised as capable of being bottom mounted to the surface of the a river or surface mounted to floating buoy.
