Hourly annual load profiles were generated for 16 commercial building types, based on Department of Energy's Commercial Reference Buildings. These standard load profiles were adjusted for typical meteorological year (TMY) data to accurately represent energy use differences in each climate zone. Each building type was matched to the rates that it was eligible for in the 17 locations, based on the load profile of the building and the eligibility requirements stated in the utility's rate tariff sheet. In a few cases, a building type is not represented in a particular location because its energy use profile was not eligible for one of the tariffs being modeled.

Commercial Building Types Modeled
