Geothermal Developers' Checklist
The Geothermal Developers' Checklist tool has been taken down, and has been replaced by the Geothermal Regulatory Roadmap.
Overview
The Geothermal Developers' Checklist provides detailed information and permitting requirements for developing a geothermal project from permitting and drilling exploratory wells to developing utility-grade power plants. Areas included in the checklist span the entire geothermal project including site identification and operation of the full scale plant. The checklist is a very fast tool to find information and outline the steps of a geothermal project; however the steps identified may require months to year to complete. It should be noted that the checklist is a starting point for a developer, and a more detailed analysis of each area with stakeholders, local governments and agencies, and professional experts is strongly encouraged. You can contact Katherine young for questions or more information about the Geothermal Developers' Checklist. The checklist is funded by the United States Depertment of Energy's Geothermal Technologies Program [1].
