Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE)
Overview
Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) is a comprehensive source of information on state, local, utility, and federal incentives and policies that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. Established in 1995 and funded by the US Department of Energy, DSIRE is an ongoing project of the North Carolina Solar Center and the Interstate Renewable Energy Council.
This tool is used as an informational resource to define various federal, state, local, and utility EERE policies, and to decribe how and where these policies are structured and implemented. This tool can be used by communities to understand and assess which policies are effective and to meet the needs and desired outcomes based on specific dynamics within the community.[2]
