Summary

Alabama Property Tax Exemptions are offered through the Alabama Department of Revenue. Relevant exemptions to energy generation facilities are abatements for air and water pollution control device and industrial purposes. There is no minimum amount of investment required to qualify a new project for abatement. An addition, however, to an existing project requires an investment of the lesser of 30% of the original cost of the existing facility or $2 million.
