This shows how much of different types of renewable and nonrenewable energy is consumed in the U.S. Click the play button to see how and where energy expenditures have changed since 1960. Source: The State Energy Data System (SEDS), compiled by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Annual estimates are available from 1960 – 2009 for state energy production and consumption estimates and from 1970 – 2010 for state energy price and expenditure estimates.
