The GBEP Common Methodological Framework for Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Lifecycle Analysis of Bioenergy

This tool/framework provides an overview and the methodology to conduct greenhouse gas (GHG) lifecycle analysis (LCA) of biofuels and their impacts. The Task Force on GHG Methodologies of the Global Bioenergy Partnership has produced this draft methodological framework for use in the LCA of bioenergy production and use. It is intended to provide a template for LCA that can work for a wide range of bioenergy systems and aims to ensure that countries and organizations can evaluate GHG emissions associated with bioenergy in a consistent manner, using methods appropriate to their circumstances, conditions, and systems of production.
