SEAGA Intermediate Level Handbook

SEAGA's handbook is a compilation of concepts, tools and guidelines for planning and implementing socio-cultural and economic changes in local communities in a way that encourages stakeholder participation, prioritizes disadvantaged people and takes in consideration differences in gender roles.

This tool is included in the Development Impacts Assessment (DIA) Toolkit from the LEDS Global Partnership.

Approach

Socio-economic and gender analysis (SEAGA) is an approach to development. Its three guiding principles are: (1) gender roles and relations are important; (2) disadvantaged people are a priority in development initiatives; and, (3) participation of all stakeholders is important for sustainable development.
