Source: Career One Stop, a partner of the American Job Center Network

Description: The Renewable Energy Competency Model is another resource to help guide people interested in a renewable energy career. The Employment and Training Administration worked with technical and subject matter experts from the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and several industry associations to develop a competency model that supports workforce preparation for jobs in energy technologies. In addition to the model, detailed worksheets to evaluate competencies are available as PDF or Excel downloads.
