The loan can be from $1,000 to $15,000 with a fixed interest rate of two points above the prime rate, with a maximum payback period of 120 months. Loans are available for conservation measures in already existing structures, new construction does not apply. The Loan can cover the installed cost of a complete air-source or geothermal heat pump system, including wiring, duct work, and other associated costs. Certain weatherization measures are also eligible, such as electric water heaters, storm windows and doors, structural insulation, caulking and weather-stripping, and generators.
