Summary
Blue Ridge Mountain Electric Membership Corporation, in collaboration with The Tennessee Valley Authority, offers an incentive for its residential members to build their new homes with energy efficiency in mind through their energy right Residential Program. If the home is less than a year old, and it is built to meet the energy right® requirements, the homeowner may receive a $300 rebate on a 40 gallon or greater Marathon Water Heater. You may also build to Energy Right specifications, but choose not to install a Marathon Water Heater. If you install a standard electric water heater, pending inspection, you may still be eligible for a rebate of $150 on a 30 gallon or greater conventional electric water heater.
