Exploration Basis

These down hole temperature surveys were the first reliable subsurface temperature data for the geothermal program.

 

Notes

Detailed temperature logs were recorded using a precision thermistor probe. The temperature logs were recorded in 11 new mineral exploration holes. The holes ranged from 99-244 m depth. Temperature gradients in some of the holes were very anomalous with very steep heat gain in the upper 200 m.
