Summary

These regulations establish permitting and operational requirements for hazardous waste facilities. They are designed to minimize environmental hazards associated with the generation, transportation, treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous wastes, including the hazardous waste component of mixed radioactive and hazardous waste (mixed waste), the transportation of septage, and the operation of hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities.
