Regional Summary (in GW)
- Awarded BOEM Lease Area Capacity Scenario 1 (base case): Assumes that all remaining projects within each BOEM lease area secure offtake agreements from buyers located in the same state or region as the lease area.
- Awarded BOEM Lease Area Capacity Scenario 2 (alternate allocation): Assumes that all remaining “open projects” in Southern New England and Delaware secure offtake agreements from New York or New Jersey, rather than from buyers in their immediate region.
This table presents past and planned BOEM leasing and the capacity in gigawatts (GW). The capacity is calculated based on 4 MW/km2 installation density (see section 2.1, Offshore Wind Market Report: 2024 Edition). For more information about Central Atlantic activities, visit BOEM's website.
