Idaho Office of Energy and Mineral Resources
The Office of Energy and Mineral Resources (OEMR) is responsible for energy planning, policy, and coordination of state and local siting issues that arise between state and local siting agencies.
"OEMR works with state and federal stakeholders to develop and utilize Idaho’s energy and mineral resources in an efficient, effective, and responsible manner that serves to enhance the state’s economy and sustain the quality of life for its citizens. OEMR serves as a resource for policy makers and first point of contact for the State on energy and mineral matters. It coordinates efforts with federal and state agencies, departments and divisions, and local governments on issues concerning energy requirements, supply, transmission, management, conservation, and efficiency efforts as well as mineral supply, management, acquisition, and development. OEMR also administers energy efficiency programs, including Government Leading by Example and the State Energy Loan Program."
