Summary
NOTE: This program is no longer available. This record is for information only.
Efficiency Vermont began offering this special incentive in April 2010. It was initially set to expire at the end of 2010, but Efficiency Vermont has extended it until December 1, 2011. The program is for businesses across the state to replace inefficient T12 fluorescent and HID high-bay lighting with more efficient lighting and controls. LED Exit signs are also incentivized. Interested businesses must work with an approved contractor and all incentives must be pre-approved. NOTE: Contractors must follow Efficiency Vermont rules and procedures for projects to receive funding. Efficiency Vermont is providing training for contractors and distributors on this aspect of the program.
And, in 2011, Efficiency Vermont began providing rewards to contractors who successfully completed projects.
Note: Customers serviced by the Burlington Electric Department (BED) must contact BED directly as they are offering the incentives, but the process is handled directly through BED.
