Proposed Action
ORMAT Nevada Inc. proposes to drill an observation well as part of their exploration and development of their Salt Wells Geothermal Project located approximately 10 miles south of Fallon, Nevada, in Churchill County. A drilling permit has already been approved for well 11-32 which also permitted a pad approximately 400 feet by 450 feet. Well 11A-32 would be drilled on the same well pad. The proposed site is within the project area analyzed in Salt Wells Geothermal Energy Projects Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Record of Decision signed on September 30, 2011.
