Maker Society is a club at Colorado School of Mines. The mission of Maker Society is to give any student, faculty, or staff member the resources to make/build anything.
Maker Society buys machines, tools, and materials for use by all. They also hold workshops to instruct others on how to use the machines and build things to take home.
Maker Society was started in early 2015 by a group of passionate students who wanted a space where students could be more hands on. They wanted a makerspace but couldn't find anything campus resources, so they took the hard road and decided to create their own for the betterment of current and future students at Mines.
