Summary

Benton PUD offers rebates to builders of homes which meet Energy Star Northwest Home standards. Qualified homes are independently verified to be at least 30% more energy efficient than homes built to the 1993 national Model Energy Code or 15% more efficient than the state energy code, whichever standard is higher. Typically these standards may be met through building envelope upgrades, high performance windows, air infiltration controls, efficient HVAC and duct systems, and upgraded water heating. If a newly constructed home meets the program requirements, the builder is eligible to receive a rebate of $1,000. Rebates vary based upon whether the ducts are in a heated or unheated space. Contact Benton PUD or visit the program website for additional information. Interested customers can call 509-582-1272 to speak with a program representative.
