The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission is located in Anchorage, Alaska. The purpose of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission is to protect the public interest in exploration and development of Alaska’s valuable oil and gas resources through the application of conservation practices designed to ensure greater ultimate recovery and the protection of health, safety, fresh ground waters and the rights of all owners to recover their share of the resource.[2]


The AOGCC website has Alaska state oil and gas data related to monthly drilling and production reports, oil and gas databases, well history, and well information, along with other information and data related to oil and gas in Alaska. The data is open to the public for re-use, based on the AOGCC licensing information.[3]
