Summary

South Dakota's Air Pollution Control Program is intended to maintain air quality standards through monitoring the ambient air quality throughout the state, permitting businesses and facilities that emit air pollution, and ensuring compliance with the state laws and rules. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources is authorized to enact regulations pertaining to air quality and air pollution sources.
