This ground water layer for the Tularosa Basin, New Mexico was created by buffering water wells, from the New Mexico State Engineer POD water database, at a radius of 2 km. Springs were also buffered at a radius of 2 km. In areas of known active aquifer recharge, gaps were also filled in. Additionally, the Pleistocene Lake Otero shoreline was also buffered at 2 km and included. Several wells not known of in Phase 1 were added.
