Solar Light for Africa

From Open Energy Information

A major solar electrification and water purification project was undertaken by Solar Light for Africa (SLA), in partnership with the Global Environment & Technology Foundation (GETF) during the summer of 2003 in rural Uganda with on-the-ground technical support by Solar Energy Uganda (SEU) based in Kampala. The project was at the Rukunyu Good Samaritan Hospital in a very remote region of Uganda. The US Department of Energy was one of the major funding sources for this project. [1]
