Energize CT administers Smart-E loan program which offers long-term, low-interest financing to residences that are looking to upgrade their home energy performance. Loans are offered at no money down, fixed rates, and with no prepayment penalties. Loans are made available for various energy efficiency upgrades as well as for renewable energy systems. Financing is made available through different participating lenders. After the loan is approved, applicants can contact participating contractors who will work through Smart-E loan technical approval process.

Apart from custom energy efficiency financing, the program also offers special bundle financing for certain qualified energy improvements.

To be eligible for the loan, the building bust be 1-4 units, must be owner occupied, and primary residence located in CT.
