Summary
Residential PV rebates are periodically offered by the Maryland Energy Administration using money from oil overcharge funds. Mostly recently, a limited number of rebates were available under the Maryland Solar Roofs Program. Although the pre-qualification and application forms were due by October 15, 2002, rebates may become available once again at a later date.
Size requirements and rebate amounts for the most recent program were as follows:
500 Watts (minimum) up to 999 Watts: $1,600 1000 Watts (1 kW) and larger: $3,200
A 15% tax credit and net metering are also available for residents who install PV systems.
