Indiana Hydropower Biological Resource Assessment(12-IN)

In Indiana, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (“IDNR”) may conduct a biological resource assessment of the proposed hydropower project and issue, to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, a defensible set of recommendations designed to protect, mitigate damage to, and enhance fish and wildlife resources. USACE hydropower projects are not exempt from FERC licensing and therefore are not subject to mandatory terms and conditions pursuant to 30(c) of the Federal Power Act.
