Small Hydropower Program: Illinois does not currently have a small hydropower program.
Renewable Portfolio Standard Process (RPS): Illinois requires large investor-owned electric utilities and alternative retail electric suppliers to source 25% of eligible retail electricity sales from renewable energy by 2025. I.L.C.S. § 20-3855.
RPS Eligible: Hydropower that does not involve the construction of new dams or significant expansion of hydropower dams. I.L.C.S. § 20-3855.
RPS Regulatory Agency: Midwest Renewable Energy Tracking System (M-RETS); PJM Generation Attribute Tracking System (GATS)
