Bulk Transmission Development in Oklahoma

The Oklahoma electric grid is part of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation’s (NERC) Eastern Interconnection. In Oklahoma, the Southwest Power Pool, RE (SPP) is the regional entity, under NERC, charged with developing reliability standards and monitoring compliance for all owners, operators, and users of the bulk electric system. SPP is the primary balancing authority in Oklahoma managing the transmission system.
