STEM to Marine Energy Dialogue Workshop on the Marine Energy Collegiate Competition | March 9, 2021 | 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. MT

The Hydropower Foundation and the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) National Renewable Energy Laboratory will host a STEM to Marine Energy Dialogue Workshop, part of the ongoing DOE Water Power Technologies Office’s STEM Dialogue Series, to discuss the Marine Energy Collegiate Competition (MECC) . The dialogue will review the structure and requirements of the first two MECCs to gather feedback and lessons learned that can be used to structure future competitions. The MECC offers a valuable opportunity for students, providing real-world experience, education on the benefits and possibilities of marine energy, and a solid foundation for decision making in any field. If you followed or participated in previous MECCs, are interested in learning more about the competition, or would like to share thoughts on what organizers can do to improve the competition, please register for the free workshop .

STEM to Marine Energy Dialogue Workshop on Educational Resources | May 18, 2021 | 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. MT

Join the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the Hydropower Foundation as they explore the educational resources housed on the STEM for Marine Energy Portal . From learning about existing high school- and undergraduate-level resources to discussing the increasing need for additional technical materials for graduate students, this is a tremendous opportunity for individuals in the marine energy industry, academia, and students to speak about educational resources that will help mold tomorrow's workforce.
