OK International (Occupational Knowledge International), a US-based 501(c)3 NGO, works with partners in developing countries to improve industrial practices that reduce human and environmental exposure to hazardous materials (for example: lead, mercury, silica and asbestos). It provides technical training and capacity building to encourage adoption of best practices and certification standards, often working with supply chains and purchasers.

In China, OK International is working toward lead standards in automotive, lead battery and the renewable industries (wind, solar, etc.). It is working with the the Emission Control Center (VECC) of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, an industry automotive group and others.
