Technology Description The energy conversion rate of the PowerGin is 20 30 The PowerGin makes use of both vertical and horizontal energy which allows the device to operate effectively in low wave states Buckets are mounted in a dense spiral pattern around the perimeter similar to hydro electric turbine blades which provide a high surface area to catch wave energy As the buckets on the ramp side of the rotor fill with wave water the rotors begin to turn Water is emptied out of the bucket instantaneously when it is submerged under the water by a patented gravity driven flap on the bottom The flap slams shut in one direction and opens in the other The two rotors rotate in opposite directions which maintain balance and continuous rotary power flow
