The Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development serves the transportation and water resource needs of Louisiana residents, businesses, and government partners. LDOTD maintains six divisions:

  • Administration
  • Engineering;
  • Management & Finance;
  • Multimodal Commerce;
  • Operations;
  • Planning.

LDOTD maintains responsibility of a wide range of tasks throughout the state, including public transportation, bridge planning and design, traffic engineering, aviation, and highway safety, among others.
