Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection

The Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection has a duty to protect and enhance Kentucky's environment. The Department issues environmental permits, and conducts environmental assessments. The Department is also responsible for enforcing the environmental statutes and regulations of the state. Six divisions comprise the Department:
- Division for Air Quality;
- Division of Compliance Assistance;
- Division of Enforcement;
- Division of Environmental Program Support;
- Division of Waste Management; and
- Division of Water.
