The GHG Calculator for Solid Waste is a spreadsheet model for calculating greenhouse gas emissions from existing waste management practices in developing Asia.

This tool is included in the Development Impacts Assessment (DIA) Toolkit from the LEDS Global Partnership.


This simulation may be used to estimate greenhouse gas emissions from different waste management practices in a particular location, taking into account the climate benefits from resource recovery from waste in a lifecycle perspective. It may also be used as training material for estimating greenhouse gas emissions at the local authority level in the Asia-Pacific region.
