Web Site: ETrans Federal Permitting Transmission Tracking System

This tracking system was created by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) under an inter-agency memorandum of understanding (MOU) between nine government agencies, which was formed in order to improve coordination for building transmission lines on federal land. More recently, the Rapid Response Team for Transmission (RRTT) was created, which extends activity outside of federal lands. This website hosts a tracking system and search feature for the permitting status of applicable transmission line projects and includes information on physical aspects of the transmission line, agency contact information, and permits required for the project.
