Dominion energy is an investor-owned utility with its headquarters in Richmond Virginia. It provides electricity mainly in parts of Virginia, North Carolina and South Caroline. It provides natural gas services in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. In additional it has generating facilities in Illinois, Indiana, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Dominion's asset portfolio includes 31,000 megawatts of power generation, 93,000 miles of electrical transmission lines, 106,000 miles of natural gas gathering, storage, transmission and distribution pipeline and 1.2 trillion in natural gas storage capacity.[1]

Dominion Energy is the majority owner of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline along with a significant stake owned by Duke Energy Company which has been put on hold citing potential for spills, contributions to air pollution and destruction of natural habitat. [2]
