Electrical Methods

Electrical methods aim to map the electrical resistivity structure of the subsurface. Electrical resistivity (inverse of electrical conductivity) is a measure of the ability for electrical current to flow and depends on parameters such as rock type, porosity and permeability, fluid type and saturation, and temperature. The SI unit of measure for resistivity is the ohm meter.
