American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is an organization based in Washington, District of Columbia: Energy Resources.
AWEA is a national trade association with over 2,500 members & advocates, including: wind power project developers, equipment suppliers, services providers, parts manufacturers, utilities, researchers, and others involved in the wind industry. The mission of the American Wind Energy Association is to promote wind power growth through advocacy, communication, and education.
- AWEA's website provides additional information about wind power (e.g. industry standards, industry statistics, utility scale wind, etc.) and about issues related to wind power (e.g. federal and state policy, siting, transmission & grid integration, etc.).
- WindPAC is the Political Action Committee of the AWEA. Its purpose is to help elect candidates to the U.S. Congress who support AWEA's legislative goals for growing wind power in America.
