|Application=For use in a laboratory environment. Takes point measurements of velocity, either in beam or XYZ coordinates. Good for capturing small-scale motion. Best when used in conjunction with an automated gantry system.

|Pros=High sampling rate. Three dimensional velocity data. Instrument provides a large amount of helpful meta data.

|Cons=Data quality is highly dependent on seed particles. Data must be filtered to eliminate poor quality readings due to phase wrapping and/or acoustic interference. Possible flow interference from the instrument head skews readings at the 'top' of the velocity profile.  Very fine bin sizes (1 mm) result in lower quality data.  A low signal to noise ratio at measurement points farthest from the transducer head can cause spiky data.

|EaseOfUse=Fairly easy to use, only two really challenging aspects: Mounting the instrument properly; Determining which data collection settings will yield the best data. This is usually determined by taking repeated measurements in the same location with different settings and comparing. It is also helpful to know as much about the characteristics of your fluid measurement area as possible.

|Software=Found the software fairly self-explanatory and easy to use. It would be nice if the manufacturer would make the binary decryption file open source so data conversion to a different file type could be more easily automated.
